WELCOME
My name is Michael Newcomer, a dedicated multidisciplinary artist with over 10 years of experience making games professionally. Since 2015, I have aspired to design experiences that resonate deeply with players, and to enrich their lives just as games have profoundly enriched mine. As an Art Director the most satisfying part of my work is being able to encourage my team on their art career journeys, to help them push beyond their perceived limits, and to acknowledge their efforts and accomplishments along the way.

AUTOLEGENDS
Autolegends is a competitive auto enthusiast gaming experience set in Los Angeles. I am the Art Director on the project and lead the internal team and coordinate with external vendors. Bellow are some of the images showing where we are currently in a pre-alpha stage and a sizzle reel that shows the intention of the game.
Disney's Sorcerers Arena
Disney's Sorcerer's Arena is a CCG turn based RPG where you collect and battle with over 200 Disney & Pixar characters. I worked as the Art Director on the project from the early prototype phase through to beta, worldwide launch, and 2+ years as a live service.
I led the internal and external art team to create characters, environments, UXUI, VFX, and features that delighted both our players and our Disney franchise partners. Bellow is a small example of the thousands of assets I helped develop and personally contributed to.

Project ECHO
Project Echo is a project I worked on as the Art Director. I was responsible for the original concept, world building and blue sky visual development of the project. Bellow are some examples of the concept art and early 3D development we created to pitch the world and story.
RACING RIVALS
On Racing Rivals I worked as a generalist developing 3D environments (Modeling, Texturing, Lighting) concept art and marketing art.
ANISTO (personal project)
ANISTO is a personal independent two man project that I worked on as the only artist. The goal was to create a bullet-less ship shooter that brings new ideas to the genre. I was responsible for the development of the story, world building concepts, 3D assets, animation, VFX and UI. Bellow are examples of some of the final production assets.
